There are moments in the life of a church when faith requires more than preserving the past—it requires planting for the future. After much prayer, discernment, and honest reflection, the Christian Church of Lemon Grove has chosen not to slowly fade, but to courageously give birth to a new church: The Grove. We are deeply grateful for the generations who built this legacy, and we believe the greatest way to honor their sacrifice is to create a church that will reach the next generations with the hope of Jesus. This is not an ending; it is a new beginning. We invite you to join us as we honor our roots, trust God with the future, and boldly cultivate what He wants to do next.
PRACTICING THE WAY OF JESUS
Following Jesus is an entire life’s pursuit. It is not just an event on a Sunday but a “way” of life in community around the teachings of Jesus. To “practice the way of Jesus” is to adopt the lifestyle of Jesus, to put his teachings into practice in all aspects of your life. As we live this way, we are transformed from the inside out. We believe this kind of deep, authentic, radical change of character is possible even in the chaos of the modern, digital, urban world. Through teaching, practice, community, and the Holy Spirit, we can recover our humanity in discipleship to Jesus.
